VDA at the DAV Homeless Veterans Stand Down | Erlanger, KY · October 2, 2026

Veteran Debt Assistance (VDA) once again joined DAV (Disabled American Veterans) at its national headquarters in Erlanger, Kentucky, for the annual Homeless Veterans Stand Down. Held together with the Cincinnati VA Medical Center and partners from across the community, the Stand Down gives veterans who are experiencing homelessness, or are at risk of it, a single place to get help with both pressing needs and longer-term goals. Veterans who came to the event found a warm welcome waiting for them. Our team handed out 730 items of clothing over the course of the day, making sure attendees left better equipped for the cooler weather ahead.

Throughout the day, veterans arrived in good spirits, trading stories and thanks with volunteers and one another, and the event carried a sense of gratitude and positivity from start to finish. For our team, those conversations are a reminder of why showing up matters: a moment of connection can mean as much as anything handed across a table. VDA thanks DAV, the Cincinnati VA Medical Center, and every partner and volunteer who helped make this year’s Stand Down a success. We look forward to returning next year and to continuing our work alongside the veterans we are proud to serve.
