VDA And PsychArmor Partnership Brings Financial Education to Veterans
VDA (Veteran Debt Assistance) and PsychArmor have joined forces to bring financial education to veterans. The partnership is rooted in shared values and a common commitment to serving the veteran community. VDA, which has helped thousands of veterans consolidate debt and connect with financial specialists, brought deep knowledge of the financial challenges veterans face. PsychArmor, a national leader in military culture education, brought its experience designing education that resonates with those who served.
A little over a year ago, the two organizations designed the debt seminar "Conquering Debt: A Shared Mission" together, built on a simple premise: veterans' financial challenges are different from civilians', so the teaching should be too. VDA then took the seminar on the road, presenting it nationally to some of the most respected organizations in the veteran community, including DAV (Disabled American Veterans), the American Legion, and most recently the National Association of State Directors of Veterans Affairs.
"The seminar is designed to give veterans the financial literacy to go from surviving to thriving," said Angel Torres, Senior Vice President of Military Veteran Outreach at Veteran Debt Assistance. "We are grateful to have found such a committed and focused partner in PsychArmor to help bring our financial expertise to all those who serve, no matter where they are."
The partnership is only getting started. PsychArmor will work with VDA to build a series of financial education courses that veterans can take at veterandebtassistance.org. The courses will bring the same veteran-focused approach behind "Conquering Debt" online, so veterans can learn at their own pace, on their own schedule, wherever they are.
For veterans, the result is more than a lesson in budgeting. It is culturally informed financial education, designed in partnership by two organizations that share a mission, to help those who served build a more confident, secure financial life.
